About

A.R. Werner writes strange fiction under the clever guise of her initials. Her stories have appeared in publications such as NANO Fiction and Hobart, been nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and featured in the Wigleaf Top 50. A quiet person who enjoys reading very loudly, she’s also participated in reading series like The Disagreement.

A.R. Werner grew up all over the East Coast, and later studied literature at Reed College. She has read submissions for Tin House and Interfictions, worked as an assistant editor at the cross-genre literary journal Unstuck, and reviewed contest entries for Zoetrope: All-Story.

Today she lives in Brooklyn with her wife, child, and too many plants. She works for libraries but is not a librarian.

You can follow what she’s reading over on Goodreads. She is otherwise not on social media.
